Small Island. Endless

Wonders.

Welcome to
Ceylon Peacock Travels

Sri Lanka, Curated for You

There is a particular kind of traveller who finds, somewhere around the third day, that the trip they planned is not the trip they are having. The temple was quieter than expected. Someone’s grandmother insisted they stay for lunch.

We design for that traveller.

Ceylon Peacock Travels is a Sri Lankan company - licensed by the Tourism Development Authority, run by one family from Balapitiya on the southern coast. We don’t sell packages. Every journey begins with a conversation.

Why Ceylon Peacock

More Than a Name
A Story of Sri Lanka.

01

Ceylon

The soul of the island.

Ceylon is the historic name by which Sri Lanka was known to the world. It carries our heritage, our history, and the timeless character of this island.

For us, Ceylon is not simply an old name. It is the Sri Lanka we are proud to call home — its ancient heritage, diverse landscapes, rich traditions, warm hospitality, and unforgettable stories.

02

Peacock

The beauty of discovery.

The peacock is one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful and iconic birds. Its vibrant colours, elegance, and distinctive character reflect the diversity and natural beauty of our island.

For Ceylon Peacock, it stands for wonder, discovery, elegance, and the many colours of Sri Lanka.

The Peacock Way

Travel with curiosity. Move with intention.
Discover with wonder.

Curious
We look beyond the obvious.

Every guidebook agrees on the same nine places, and they are all worth seeing. We take you to them at the hour when nobody else is there, and then we take you somewhere the guidebook has never heard of.

Personal
Your journey follows your rhythm.

Some travellers want to be out of the door at six. Some want a long breakfast and a swim first. Neither is wrong, but they are not the same holiday, and no fixed itinerary can serve both.

Local
We open doors to stories beyond the guidebook.

Our team is Sri Lankan. The estate owner is someone's uncle; the temple keeper went to school with our guide. These are not connections you can buy from abroad.

See what we can open

Refined
Every detail is thoughtfully considered.

Cold towels after the climb. Chilled king coconut waiting in the vehicle. A daily plan whose stated times are the actual times. Luxury is mostly the absence of friction.

What's always included

Responsible
Travel should leave something good behind.

We work with the sea turtle hatchery fifteen minutes from our office at Balapitiya, employ and train locally, and keep our groups small enough that the places we love survive our affection for them.

From Dream to Journey

You imagine it. We bring it to life.

  1. Tell us what moves you

Not dates and headcount, not yet. Tell us what you picture when you picture this trip. Whether you want to be moving or still. What you would be sorry to have missed.

  2. We curate the details

Your designer builds a first draft and sends it with the reasoning attached: why this property, why this order, why three nights here rather than two. Then you tell us what to change, and we change it. Most journeys settle by the third draft.

  3. You travel, we take care of the rest

From the moment you clear immigration you are in our hands. Your guide, your vehicle, your rooms, your permits. If something needs solving, it is usually solved before you notice it needed solving.

  4. And we stay in touch

Your photographs of the hatchlings, six months later. A note when the Perahera dates are announced. Most of our travellers come back. We would like you to be one of them.
